In 2008, AVID Ratings and Professional Builder join forces to create the most comprehensive management
conference for the home building industry – the Professional Builder Benchmark and AVID Leadership
Conference.
Both organizations have decided to merge their two events into one to offer a conference that provides
the most comprehensive education in the home building industry at an affordable price. “The Benchmark/AVID
Conference is packed with more value than any other conference available in the industry. It’s
exciting to be a part of an event that offers our attendees the latest in green building, leadership,
management and customer loyalty for the price of a single event,” states Paul Cardis, CEO of AVID

This year’s event will take place on October 5 – October 7 at the historic Arizona Biltmore
Resort & Spa in Phoenix. The conference is appropriately themed “Tools for the Turnaround”,
as it will address the issues of preparing your company for the coming business turnaround. Keynote
presentations include Terry Jones, CEO & Founder of Travelocity.com and Neil Howe, historian, economist
and demographer. Roundtable discussion leaders include industry speakers with high-level experience
from such companies as Pulte Homes (PHM), Centex Homes (CTX), Mattamy Homes, Albi Homes and many more
from across the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, we will be celebrating the achievements of the AVID Award winners, National Housing Quality
