As kids growing up our Dad would say “Turn those sour grapes into wine”, and
I find myself repeating that saying a lot… way more than it was intended! But it’s true,
attitude, creativity, and perseverance can turn nearly any situation into a positive one. Given the
current financial crisis affecting all of us in Canada and the U.S., we all must take stock in this
saying and find a way to flourish. At AVID, despite adverse market conditions, we continue to
innovate. We are proud of the new release of AVID Reports which is now live and getting rave reviews.
Clients are hailing it “fantastic” and “a tremendous advancement”. We
also rebranded our 16 year consultancy as AVID Advisors and expanded their expertise to provide clients
with leading intelligence on how to thrive in all market conditions.
Our process starts with establishing what its customers want, love, and would improve about their buying
experience and ends with expert advisors working side by side to implement the right best practices.
Like a canary in mine, we detect trouble in an organization way before its consequences are evident,
and act as survival Sherpa’s to see your organization through it all. Just ask our clients. I
am proud to say that our client successes are numerous and compelling, so please talk to them.
Hang in there AVID Fans, things will unquestionably get better. Forecasts from leading industry experts
at the Professional Builder and AVID Leadership Conference confirm that we will need to provide
significantly more housing than is currently available today in North America. This demand, fueled by
over 80 million baby-boomers transitioning their housing, won’t go away in this crisis, just be
delayed a bit. My advice is to choose your business partners wisely, and turn these sour grapes into
award winning wine.
